  1. The law of averages says you’re still top-notch. I’m thinking even better than that, because you’re probably your own worst critic. Hang in there (Oh boy, do I get what you’re saying!)

  2. Yesterday’s brilliance is still right there, strong and firm. Some writing devil of mediocrity is tickling you under the armpits and shaking your confidence. Don’t lose your grip and let them win. Hang on, Kristy!

  3. You aren’t mediocre even on your bad days. But I know that feeling and it will pass, brilliant friend of mine.

    I don’t know why I saw this in your title but it makes me laugh a little:
    Mediocrity = moi + edit+ cry

    It’s like the cycle we all seem to go through: edit, cry, edit, cry, then BINGO! You break through to the brilliant side again!

    Hee. Chin up, you! 😀

      Thanks for the laugh — and the inspiration! I love how LJ friends pull together!

        Hope you’re feeling better. It would be great to do the interview. Thanks, Kristy. I go back to NC from July 27th-August 5th.

      1. I theoretically know that everyone feels that way from time to time, even the wonderful Kelly Fineman. But it’s funny isn’t it, how one day we really do think we’re brilliant and the next, not so much?
