Today is the day after Labor Day. So what? you say. Yeah, yeah, so what. That’s what I keep trying to tell myself too. Ya think in editor time “after Labor Day” means sometime in November? That’s what I’m going with.
It’ll get me through the rest of the day anyway.
Yeah, I’m wondering what “by the end of summer” means.
It obviously means at least past Labor Day. Which means I probably ought to revise my expectations to around the 1st of January. If we only knew for sure. Why can’t it be definitive like that NO WHITE SHOES after Labor Day thing? That’s clear. No wiggle room.
Oh, but wait…just yesterday on the Today Show some fashion expert said that we could wear white after Labor Day. ACK! Hope you hear something soon!
Oh no! Even the precepts of fashion are changing? We may never hear from an editor again!
NO!!! There all back at work, reading my story and getting ready to make and offer or send me revision notes!
Sigh. We can wish. 🙂
That’s a good one! I’m waiting on three agents and two editors…sigh. I’ll try your method!
I’m not sure my method is too successful. Im not doing too good of a job at ignoring the calendar!
I’m with you, KD. I had an editor tell me ‘next month.’ Hmmmm. That was June.

Maybe they meant “next month in 2007”! Let’s hope not. 🙂
Here’s to hoping the end of summer comes before Christmas break. 🙂
